Baptisms and Baptism Class

BAPTISM

We are so grateful that you are signing up to be baptized! We believe baptism is an essential part of following Jesus well because it:

• Symbolizes the spiritual reality of our new life in Christ (Rom. 6:1-5),
• Marks our entry into the one great family of God’s people (1 Cor. 12:13), and
• Was one of Jesus’ final commands to all of his disciples! (Matt. 28:19)

The Apostle Paul provides one of the best summaries of what this beautiful practice means:

We were therefore buried with [Jesus] through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life (Romans 6:4, NIV).

Baptism CLASS

The Baptism Class is a one-time gathering for anyone who wants to be baptized at Grace. The purpose of the class is to be sure that everyone has a clear and sufficient understanding of God’s salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. In addition to the basics of salvation, we will address topics such as: growing in your faith, Communion (The Lord’s Supper), and what to expect for the baptism itself (time, date, location, dress, etc.)

We will also provide you with a Study Guide at the end of the class so that you and your family can continue to dig into God’s Word.

Baptism is a beautiful milestone in the life of every believer, but it’s only just the beginning of an eternal relationship with God!
